The management team

  • Michele Ferrario

    Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, 13 years experience in the financial industry and in consumer internet

    Michele is the former CEO of Zalora Group and the co-founder of Rocket Internet in Italy and Pakistan. Prior to that, he worked as Investment Manager at Synergo and as Engagement Manager at McKinsey. He earned his MBA at Columbia Business School and his Bachelor of Science in Finance at Bocconi University in Italy. Michele has been invited by Singapore’s Minister of Finance to be a member of the Committee for the Future of the Economy.

  • Freddy Lim

    Co-Founder, Chief Investment Officer, 16 years experience in cross-asset investing and portfolio management

    Freddy gathered years of investment expertise as Managing Director and Global Head of Derivatives Strategy at Nomura. He gained his strong background in cross-asset portfolio at Millennium Capital Management and at CitiGroup, after working at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Lehman Brothers. He holds a Bachelor in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Monash University.

  • Nino Ulsamer

    Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer, 13 years experience in technology and building internet companies

    Nino was co-founder and CTO at Divvit, a software solution for e-commerce analytics, and founder and CTO of Personio, a successful HR management software. Before that, he was co-founder and Managing Director of Westwing in Russia, the country's largest home-and-living e-commerce platform. Nino holds a Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Munich and was Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley.

  • Francis Rozario

    Non-executive Director

    Francis has been the Chairman and CEO of Asia Capital and Advisors (ACA) since its formation in 2012. From 2003 to 2011 Francis was the CEO of Fullerton Financial Holdings (FFH), the financial services subsidiary of Temasek Holdings. Prior to FFH, Francis spent 28 years at Citibank, where he ran businesses around the world, and in 1996, led the development of the “Commercial Bank” across Emerging Markets globally.

  • Pranay Gupta

    MD, AllocationMetrics

    Pranay has over 25 years of experience in Europe, UK, US and Asia managing all liquid asset class investments across global markets. He was until recently the Head of Multi-Asset Strategies at Temasek's Fullerton Fund Management. Prior to that Pranay was the Chief Investment Officer at Lombard Odier and ING Investment Management Asia Pacific, where he led an investment team of over 300 investment professionals across 12 countries, to manage over US$85bn of institutional and retail assets. As a globally recognized expert in multi-asset investing, he authored “Multi-Asset Investing: A Practitioner’s Framework”, a very successful investing book published by Wiley, and serves as External Curriculum Director for the CFA Program. Pranay holds an MBA in Finance from XLRI India, Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and is a CFA Charter holder.

  • Massimo Massa

    Rothschild Chaired Professor of Banking and Professor of Finance at INSEAD

    Massimo teaches international finance, corporate finance, asset management, behavioural finance and governance at INSEAD. In addition, he has been a consultant with several companies on strategic issues related to governance and corporate financial and growth strategies, and has previously worked in the Bank of Italy. He earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management, an MA and a PhD in Financial Economics from Yale University, and is CPA and Auditor.nino

  • Sim Hwee Hoon

    Director, NTUC Income

    Hwee Hoon sits on the board of NTUC Income. She has more than a decade of experience as a Managing Director in C-suite positions at major US banks. She was the Regional Chief Operating Officer of Private Wealth Management Asia in Morgan Stanley from 2010 to 2016. She was also the CEO of Morgan Stanley Asia International Limited, Singapore Branch, and sat on the Board of Directors of Morgan Stanley Asia International Limited. Before Morgan Stanley, Hwee Hoon spent 12 years with JPMorgan Private Bank Asia. Her appointments included being the Asia Regional CFO from 2006 to 2010 and Asia Head of Risk Management from 1998 to 2006. She also sat on the Board of Directors of JPMorgan International Bank Limited (UK incorporated) and JPMorgan Securities Asia Private Limited. Hwee Hoon holds a Master of Finance degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and an Honors degree in Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore.

  • Annie Koh

    VP for Business Development at SMU

    Annie has a variety of other roles and responsibilities outside of SMU, including being a board member and an audit committee member for the Central Provident Fund Singapore, chairing the Asian Bond Fund 2 Supervisory Committee of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, chairing the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council for Southeast Asia, and being an independent director in a few funds and family businesses.
