- Net financial assets (net of any related liabilities) exceed $1 million SGD (or its equivalent in a foreign currency); or
- Net personal assets exceed $2 million SGD (or its equivalent in a foreign currency), but net equity of primary residence capped at $1 million SGD of the $2 million SGD threshold.
What documents can I use to get my Accredited Investor (AI) status verified?
You can upload one of the supporting documents below to the StashAway app.
1. Documents to prove income in the preceding 12 months is not less than SGD300,000
- Notice of Tax Assessment (you can declare it with Singpass)
- Official Payslip, dated not more than 3 months ago

2. Documents to prove Financial Assets exceed SGD 1 million;
- Bank statement showing value of assets less liability, dated not more than 3 months ago

How can I get my Accredited Investor (AI) status verified with StashAway?
If you haven’t opted in to be considered as an AI during initial onboarding:
Call +65 6958 1052, WhatsApp +65 9877 0801, or email us at support@stashaway.sg and send the relevant document (see the question above).
If you have opted in to be treated as an AI during initial onboarding:
Can I withdraw my consent to be treated as an Accredited Investor (AI) after I have signed the opt-in form, and what are the consequences?
Yes, you can withdraw your consent to be recognised as an AI with us at any time. You can do this by filling in the Opt-In Withdrawal Form and sending it to support@stashaway.sg. It may take up to 7 days for us to process your request.
If you choose to withdraw your consent to be treated as an AI, you will lose access to Reserve’s offering.
Is there a difference between being an Accredited Investor (AI) and a Reserve client?
Becoming an AI is a prerequisite for getting access to Reserve’s offering and thereby becoming a Reserve client. Comprehensive financial planning, portfolio review sessions, and access to Reserve investment offerings is only available once you are a Reserve client.
If you’re an AI, but not a Reserve client yet, you can talk to a Wealth Advisor and get investment advice. However, if you’d like to learn more about Reserve, schedule a call with a Wealth Advisor.
What happens to my Reserve investments if I am no longer an Accredited Investor (AI)?
If you no longer qualify as an AI, you will lose access to Reserve’s offering. However, your existing Reserve investments will remain active, and you will be able to access them, as well as discuss them with your Wealth Advisor.
How do I maintain my Accredited Investor (AI) status with StashAway?
We are required to renew your AI status with up-to-date documents by MAS, therefore we’ll notify you to update your documents to ensure your AI status doesn’t expire.
What if the value of my portfolio drops below the required minimum?
We’ll remind you to invest more in order to meet the required minimum of $250,000 SGD. If this minimum is not met within 6 months, you’ll lose access to Reserve, which includes the ability to make new Reserve private market investments.
Note that the required minimum refers to the higher amount of either net deposits or total assets (value of portfolio).
Net Deposits (SGD) | Total Assets (SGD) (Value of Portfolio) | Meets Required Minimum? |
---|---|---|
$250,000 | $200,000 | Yes |
$200,000 | $250,000 | Yes |
$240,000 | $240,000 | No |
For example, if you have deposited $250,000 SGD with StashAway, but your total assets drop to $200,000 SGD due to market fluctuations, we would still refer to the higher amount, which is your net deposits.
Similarly, if you have deposited $200,000 SGD, but your total assets have grown to $250,000 SGD, we would refer to the higher amount, which is your total assets (value of portfolio).
